Invader, the innovator known for travelling around the world and leaving his artistic handprint through the creation of 8-bit video game pixelations made from tiles, has marked his 66th “invaded” city after last week’s visit to Toulouse, France. The famous Parisian street artist has has now created over 3300 pieces worldwide in cities like Ravenna, New York City, Hong Kong,  London, Rome, Miami, and even our very own Melbourne. With 10 new iconic pieces added to the list, you can now ‘hunt’ them all in Invader’s new app FlashInvaders, a Pokémon Go-style game where you walk down the streets and flash your phone at Invader’s mosaics to score points and compete with other players. Stay tuned for Invader’s next “invasion” and check out some snaps of the street artist’s latest pieces in Toulouse aka the “Pink City”, and yes, the tiles used are fittingly pink.
