Lush, the self dubbed #1 asshole of graffiti, often toys around with different ways to either embrace or reject elements of the cultural crossflow between art and graff. He’s repurposed empty cans as dioramas, has his work vandalised in a gallery and most recently, turned security camera capping into tiny temporary installations. It’s not clear from Lush’s Insta or Tumblr whether or not these little vignettes served the inferred practical purpose of preventing security or law enforcement from watching him get over on an adjacent spot, but the idea of turning camera damage into a statement in itself is pretty brilliant – especially with the incorporation of the GORE finger and thriftily painted steel wool fires.
