If you’re still looking for your fix of Andy Warhol in the wake of NGV’s best exhibition to date, then look no further than the Skateroom’s latest collection. Announcing their collaboration with the Beyeler Foundation also saw to the release of their Andy Warhol series of boards that feature some of the artists most iconic motifs.

In a nutshell, the Skateroom allows artists to put their creative touch to skate culture by designing boards. Creating decks in this way allows artists to engage with one of the richest subcultures in a structure that also allows two forms to interact. The melding of art and skating, in turn, creates a tool to emancipate the youth. Ai Weiwei has even done his own feature, which they might want to consider showcasing alongside Warhol’s, as they are probably the most complementary paring since the term ‘Netflix and chill’ was coined.

Of the series, the Andy Warhol Foundation’s director said “the unique Warhol decks embody and embrace the artist’s non-conformist spirit, and lastly, as a non-profit organisation ourselves, the Skateroom’s embrace of Skateistan made us understand that our world views were aligned.” You can check out all the ones that are for sale over here on their site, and check out a preview in the gallery above.
