Super Mario Bros in Excel will solve your Monday blues

The internet responds to the 1500 picture stop-motion creation

Microsoft Excel is used solely for spreadsheets and other boring work-related stuff, right? Well, let this Super Mario Bros vid in stop-motion prove that theory wrong. According to its creators, Cinémavore, the 60 second video was made with nearly 1500 pictures and just a few hours work. We’re sure this is made with more than just a few hours. Unfortunately, you can’t actually play the game on Excel. But still, this creation is pretty impressive.

There’s been some quality online commentary from the internet about the video. From “slow day at the office, huh” and “way too much time on your hands” to ” your boss walks by your desk: ‘What the fuck are you doing Tim?!'” We like to think of this as a genius form of procrastination.

Excel almost seems fun now? Check out the impressive stop-motion video in the gallery above.
