Last year, hilarious Simpson-ised creations of artists like Drake as Millhouse, Pharrell as Bart, and Kanye West as Porky Pig went viral, and now the man behind the cartoons is back, this time tributing Australia’s own Tkay Maidza. German graphic designer Zhi-Yun Zhang has collaborated with Aussie music event tracker app Whatslively to create the Simpson-ised Tkay for her Triple J’s Hottest 100 track ‘M.O.B‘.
“We wanted to do something fun with these images, but at the same time we’ve came at it from a sincere place, where we wanted the images to be a celebration of these great Australian musicians and their songs” says Trishanth Chandrahasan, Whatslively’s co-founder.
