For the big boys there will always be enough big boys toys to keep the bank balance empty, but Evanta Motor Company have definitely taken the term and ran with it with this new sculpture. Inspired by AirFix model toy cars that kids used to build to kill time before the internet, Evanta stepped it up a notch with their 1:1 scale model of the 1959 LeMans winning Aston Martin DBR1.

Consisting of genuine Aston Martin racing wheels, a full dashboard of era-correct smith gauges and many other “real” car parts all mounted on a model-car like snap off frame that anyone who’s built a plastic model car can recognise.

The sculpture will be auctioned off at the Goodwood Revival next month on the 16th, looks like someone’s going to have a very cross wife come the 17th!
