Ever wanted to own your own original Andy Warhol? Well now’s your chance, that is if you have a casual $10,000 – $1 mil sitting in your piggy bank.

The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts has been slowly selling off a few works per year since 1987 to finance its grant-making activities, but this year has decided to up the ante to mark the foundations 25^th anniversary.

In selling off the work, the foundation will be able to increase its annual grants from $13 million to between $18 and $20 million – not bad at all. The question of whether this selling en masse will devalue Warhol’s name in the long run has been debated in relation to the recent sales, but foundation’s President Joel Wach’s says the sales will only broaden their reach to an interest that is already worldwide.
