Sydney based project The Basel Royale Art Prize has come to an end, with submissions closing early last month. Therefore the time has now come for the winner to be announced and naturally, a party shall ensue.

The Basel Royale Art Prize is an initiative whereby 24 local artists from Sydney have been challenged to submit a weekly work of art, created in just three hours. The project ran for 12 weeks, and the final exhibition will be showcasing all entries from across the series and determining the winner of the all-inclusive trip to Art Basel Miami.

The judging process for the prize includes a lot of sway from the general public. Each artwork is posted up to Instagram (@loficollective) and the likes generated will help to determine the final score along with a panel of judges.

This final exhibition party is going down at The Standard in Surry Hills and will include live music by a bunch of DJs as well as Sydney acts Fishing and Kilter.
