Bjork and David Attenborough’s peculiar pairing sees them collaborating on When Bjork Met Attenboroughan hour-long documentary which, according to Bjork, “is about celebrating how sound works in nature”.

Reminiscent of Liz Hurley and Shane Warne’s surprising union (minus the romance – let’s hope anyway), this odd-couple scenario sees the Icelandic avant-popstar teaming up with the British wildlife broadcaster to present a documentary that focuses on the evolution of music around the world.

Narrated by Tilda Swinton and inspired by Björk’s technological project Biophilia, for which Attenborough provided a spoken introduction, the film enables viewers to witness a unique encounter between two of the most iconic thinkers of our time, as the duo investigate and discuss the long standing connection that exists between music and nature.

When Bjork Met Attenborough is being released internationally in DVD format on May 5th.
