Leica has released a short film featuring an insight into the life of photographer, Bruce Davidson. “A member of the Magnum Photos agency since 1958, Davidson’s work bore witness to New York street gangs in the late ’50s, the Civil Rights Movement in the 1960s and the urban decay of the New York City subway system in the 1970s”. In the film, Davidson goes on to discuss the influence, which Leica cameras have placed on his career, highlighting the product’s “mobility and excellent optics”.
