For any photographer, being in North Korea would be like being a kid in a (totally bleak) candy store. There is so much to see and show from a world very few outsiders have been to.

Despite it being populated, it’s very much uncharted territory, even on Instagram. Due to a recent upgrade in the country’s internet services, WiFi has become readily available for locals and travellers.

Like any good tourist, Associated Press photographer David Guttenfelder has shot his surroundings and posted them on Instagram, live and geographically tagged, no less.

Although small and not the quality we’re used to, the arresting photographs give us an interesting look inside a world we may never get to see first hand. Check out the photographers continuing feed at @dguttenfelder.
