Nothing quite embodies the triumph of modernity like the humble shopping mall, which is what makes it so eery and dystopian when the places become abandoned or disheveled. Have you ever played Silent Hill? Holy shit, the scariest shit ever. Photographer Brian Ulrich has documented malls through the 2000’s in various levels of abandonment or emptiness.
