The California Roll House is a prefab structure born from Korean firm Violent Volumes. Aimed at creating human comfort in otherwise harsh climates the house features an exterior shell affixed to a carbon fibre truss skeleton. The home’s impressive adaptable elements include hydraulised doors to utilise space, transforming window glass opacity with sun angle and an extendable roof that unfolds to function as a courtyard.
