Exhibition: Decorating the Apocalype by Fred Fowler at Backwoods
The Melbourne based artist creates work around Cultural identity for his solo show
Posted By Alex Weiland | 10-Aug-2012Melbourne-based contemporary artist Fred Fowler is the next individual to grace Collingwood’s Backwoods Gallery this year. With a background in street art and graffiti, Fowler was moved to study contemporary art after living in Paris and travelling throughout Europe in 2009. Currently completing his final year at the Victorian College of the Arts, Decorating the Apocalypse is his third solo exhibition and is a culmination of work completed over the last four years.
The show investigates themes related to cultural identity through the media of sculpture, painting and printmaking. And you can see it all from late next week. Details below.
