The latest from world famous Toulouse-based artist Fafi is definitely a departure from your average coffee table art book. Fresh out from from Rizzoli New York,  The Carmine Vault is actually a graphic novel, set in another universe. The story revolves around a character named Birtak and his quest to join the Paris Opera Ballet. The cast consists of the artist’s signature Fafinettes illustrated in comic book format. The last dozen or so pages feature some bonus full-page Fafinette paintings, which are pretty incredible.
