I’ve never seen real snow. The closest I’ve been is in some random ass ‘ice house’ in the middle of a south-east Asian capital city. And let’s face it, that shit is closer to the stuff I find on the outside of a frozen steak than up in the Swiss Alps. It’s kind of sad, really.

So pretty much any image of snow in all forms makes me feel some type of way, and this set of images by Russian photographer Alexey Kljatov kind of has me yearning for a white Christmas. Shot using a homemade camera rig, the flakes are snapped on his balcony and then touched up in post-production to enhance them slightly. The end result is beautiful, delicate and a little other-worldly.

Check out some of the images in our gallery above and head over to Alexey’s site to see the full series.
