Impressive glasswork by Tom Fruin

Brooklyn artist Tom Fruin has just unveiled his premiere kaleidoscopic piece of work from his series ‘icon’. Standing at a tall 25 feet, a ‘water tank’ has been crafted from around 1,000 salvaged plexiglass pieces from all over NYC. Constructed atop a building near the east river waterfront in Brooklyn, during the day it is illuminated by natural light, and when the sun goes down at night, a visual light show designed by Ryan Holsopple is conducted inside the work.  The illuminated glass water tank will be on show from June 7th.
