April 11th marked the unveiling of KAWS’ 16-foot tall COMPANION (PASSING THROUGH) sculpture at Philadelphia’s 30th Street station. Fans and the media were there to witness the unveiling of the shy character, who has made appearances in Hong Kong, Connecticut, New York, Atlanta and Flat Worth, as well as rub shoulders with the New York-based artist. This unveiling is a preview for the upcoming KAWS Sculpture Plinth Exhibition at PAFA, opening in October 2013.
