Man draws Daily Self Portraits Under the Influence of Different Drugs

And consequently suffers mild brain damage....

Artist Bryan Lewis Saunders has made it is personal mission to create a new self-portrait of himself every day for the rest of his life. This personally set assignment has been going since 1995, and within this time Saunders developed a sub project. Drawing himself under the influence of all kinds of different drugs one day at a time.

Within weeks he became lethargic and suffered mild brain damage. The experiment is still being conducted, but over greater lapses of time and only with drugs that are ‘given to him’. Of course this is a dangerous experiment, but it is resulting in some interesting artwork, however to be honest they’re not as trippy as you’d expect. Maybe he needs to up the ante. Maybe it’s all just a marketing fraud to make us post on an unknown artist’s work. Maybe it’s working. You can check out his complete gallery here and make your own mind up about it.
