Sanrio’s first art event and the accompanying book, Hello Kitty, Hello Art! were launched at New York City’s Openhouse Gallery last week. The VIP launch party featured some elite guests including contributing artists DABS MYLA, DJ Va$htie on the decks and the queen of cute-kitsch Betsey Johnson. Punters were also privy to special edition prints by Betsey Johnson and graffiti artist POSE, as well as custom origami gifts and gingerbread ladies.
