Mere days before leaving for London to kick off his solo show at StolenSpace Gallery, Rone finished what is being labelled “the largest mural in Australia.” At 35 metres high and 25 metre long, the mural sits amidst the concrete of Collins Street. It’s giving CBD-dwellers a reason to look up while going about their usual business, and so far the reception has been great. Rone admits that is was his most challenging project, taking him seven days to complete, but completely worth it.

But that’s not all for the busy artist. His solo show in London starts on April 10, exploring the relationship between beauty and decay. Titled ‘Wallflower,’ the exhibition also looks at Rone’s work with the theme of travel and how it builds character, wisdom and humility.

Melburnians, be sure to head to 80 Collins Street to check out the mural. If you’re too lazy, have look at the pictures above and if that’s not enough to motivate, then I don’t what will.
