Famed Japanese pop artist Takashi Murakami has proven time and again that he is one of the most influential artists of our time, having had numerous exhibitions and even commissioned by Marc Jacobs to design a series of handbags for Louis Vuitton. His latest exhibition at the Galarie Perrotin in Hong Kong commemorates the gallery’s 20-year old relationship with the artist, the ninth exhibition between the two so far. The pictures showcases Murakami’s signature style of whimsical, colour-trippy painting, and his signature flower and skull motif making casual appearances in his artworks.
