Video: 1980s Anti-Graffiti Campaign
Featuring the likes of the Fat Boys and Mario Van Peebles, check this cringey anti-graff campaign from the 1980s...
Posted By Meisy Cheong | 29-Feb-2012So, back in the early days of the graff scene, someone SOMEHOW convinced a bunch of hip-hop artists like the Fat Boys and actors such as Mario Van Peebles (why? WHY?) to take part in the ‘Don’t Do It’ campaign against graffiti because apparently, that sort of thing doesn’t belong on the subways. 12oz found a whole collection of campaigns from the ’80s, but in particular, check the one above for MVP’s winning performance…pretty sure the dude is sticking to directing. Thank. Fuck.
