Like most young middle class males I’ve got an unhealthy fascination with prison, from OZ to Louis Theroux to The Shawshank Redemption – I lap that shit up. Photographer David Leventi obviosuly shares a similar obsession, as he’s travelled the world documenting prison spaces. There’s a sense of respect in his images that borders on the reverential, and considering his previous body of work was focussed on Cathedral architecture it’s probably not that suprising.

Lets hope that this is as close we get to the inside of a prison, no matter how bad-ass Augustus Hill made it look.
