The Oakland artist brings new meaning to the term 'bittersweet'

Hailing from Oakland, artist Scott Hove combines sweet and creepy in his installation entitled Cakeland. The various ‘customary’ cakes and mounted cake-creations are constructed out of carvable polyurethane sculpting foam that is hand-shaped with Japanese woodcarving tools. The frosting is a made up of a range of acrylic gels applied with the orthodox pastry-decorating tools. Check out Hove’s Facebook or website for more information about Cakeland.
