Tokyo-based photographer Hal looks for his talent in underground bars and clubs in Shibuya and Kabuchiko (Toyko’s Red Light District). The Couple Jam series uses musicians, dancers, strippers, service workers, businessmen, anyone willing to contort their bodies into the confined space of the model’s bathtubs. Photographer Hal explains, “I think of the bathroom as being one of the most private and intimate place in anyone’s home, this provoked a shyness in the models, and created a unique excitement and inspiration in the scene”.
