The new mixtape Dat Kid From Cleveland from Kid Cudi sees him continue to experiment with sample and track selection accompanying his sing songy style of rapping with varying degrees of success. I'd highly reccomend skipping I Poke Your Face which see's Kanye, Common and Kid spitting over an accapella from Lady Gaga's Poker Face, need I say more? But don't get it twisted overall it's a pretty solid listen. This mixtape didn't get me hyped for Cudi like his 10 Deep Tape with Emile and Plain Pat which was more cohesive (to the point that you would be forgiven for mistaking it as an album) and saw him garner attention from both heads and hipsters.
