MadeMe Spring 09 Collection
Straight Rollin'

MadeMe seriously sits at the top of the spectrum when it comes to ladiez wear right now. Erin continually rips out dope ideas that push the envelope even further from whatever she dropped in the preceding season.
That said, there’s not a crying or disappointed bone in my little body after peeping the pics from the up and coming MadeMe Spring 09 Look Book. Not happy with just dropping a new stack of logo tee’s, Erin has plastered her baby trademark across mesh tanks, 3/4 trackies and an assortment of acid wash.
When I interviewed Erin for Girls on The Street back in Issue 15 she assured me the new season would scream of sportswear and spandex which were going to bear a heavy influence on the line. That lady sure wasn’t lying when she told me to “get on that bike girl!”
The mesh tanks are totes my faves, hands down, and make me want to mount a man on a fixie and get a double down to the CBD where all the cute fit bike couriers hang out.
Hold on, I’d need to grab my cute little fixie hat first and push the brim right up so you know who the hell MadeMe. Yeah I got racing stripes, and guess what guys and dolls? Red really does go faster.
The acid wash shorts are a cool reminder that MadeMe is in the know on what’s going down in the bigger fashion circuit, but that blue white wash is way sicker than any other steez I’ve seen. Shame about it being shorts, but that’s what you get from a Spring Collection when you live in the wrong hemisphere.
The cropped denim vest is an Erin staple, she’s rarely snapped not wearing one – and those logo leggings are killing it big time! I’m a sucker for pastel pants no matter how Florida it might be. Wouldn’t it be good if purpose made bike gear actually looked this cool? Do you think she’ll make me a custom helmet for my Vespa? Oh yeah and I didn’t realise MadeMe was such a big MIA fan but I’ll ask the question anyway, “Where were you in ’92?” Or was it more of a Madonna directed question? You tell me.
This season seriously reminds me so much of Roger Ramjet. I am so down with that. Mini hats and racing stripes and uniform styled logo prints? That MadeMe logo tee with the stars is so Mutley. C’Mon!!
Oh and before I ride away let’s not forget to give a round of applause not only to Miss Erin but to super-sexy DJ cum stylist Radio Rose Garcia who can be credited with tarting up this shoot and making it all schmick and lick.
