We may have long superseded the 60s, 70s, hell, even the 80s, but this camera throws us right back into the thick of it. Capturing your favourite moments in old school style with those bright eccentric colours and fuzzy edges we all love so dearly, the Digital Harinezumi Version 2 is the wizardry of PowerShovel in Japan. Via Alley sent us a sample to try out, so we put it in the capable hands of intern Izzy who missioned around Abbotsford taking arty shots of dead birds and the like. There is a disturbing amount of dead birds in our vicinity come to think of it. What’s up with that? It’s gotta be bad feng shui. Anyways peep the gallery for Izzy’s school photography project stylz jaunt around the hood...

Despite having a view-finder that’s mind bogglingly small and about as boggling in its accuracy, the Digital Harinezumi Version 2 is certainly a bit of fun. Not much bigger than a match box and not weighing much more, the camera successfully recreates those photos we thought were well and truly pasted to the folks album; with soft edges and warm colours…it also responds particularly well to bright colours and lots of sunlight, but then again, who doesn’t?!

The tiny camera emulates 110mm cartridge film outputs + records 8mm-like sound videos also! It also comes with black and white mode, mirror processing front plate, sound recording, improved and better micro mode - up to 4 cm close and a winner on the mega pixel scale. It even has video capability. Great for peeps who love film but can't find the time to process it! Fans include Spike Jonze, Charlotte Gainsbourg and Beck.
