DJ Nate's (I would suggest the artist page on his record label, not his myspace) recent releases in August and September have helped solidify and define the latest genre to come out of Chicago known as Juke / Footwurk (Footwork). The 20 year old has just dropped his feature full length release (available for pre-order) called Da Trak Genius which has been released via Planet Mu records who picked up the artist earlier this year based on a few sparse demos floating around the internet. This new scene involves kids dancing to the african inspired rhythms using a combination of up-rocking, jazz dancing, c-walking and just plain frantic foot work. Easily the most original release around at the moment and worth picking up.
