World Aids Day (December 1st) saw Nike launch a new charity concept together with (RED), a business created by Bono, to help fund AIDS programs throughout Africa. All profits from the sale of Nike (RED) laces will go towards The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, which funds AIDS programs that provide medical treatment for those with HIV, as well as providing education and understanding initiatives to help prevent HIV/AIDS.
