Like every limited Supreme drop, the last round of merch featuring this print sold out within minutes. The brand teased fans with a peek into their AW16 collection via Instagram overnight, which shows the archived image reworked into a graphic on a relaxed jacket, and the fans are already (but unsurprisingly) frothing over it.

The hype comes down to Supreme knowing its pull in the market. Or we all wouldn’t be drooling. With only 10 stores worldwide, and regular limited drops every Thursday at the strict time of 11am (US time) the presence of each item remains significant and intense. By mashing up old works, Supreme has been able to draw us back into the hype of previous memorable designs, while staying true to their policy of never re-releasing past-season pieces.
