Skate title Jenkem Magazine are at it again, continuing their video series in which one of their skater tests an unconventional pair of shoes on the streets of NYC. This time around, they put the Nike Benassi Slides through its paces – a pair that might normally be seen paired with socks and sported down at the local milkbar. Skater Tommy Chill actually does a good job of keeping them on his feet as he traverses the streets of Soho and Chinatown. And with ‘Fantasy’ playing in the background? Perfect.

They’ve tested the coveted Yeezy Boost 350 previously, with similar results, so it’s pretty obvious that unless you’re wearing actual skate shoes, your kicks (and probably feet) are about to get trashed. But some people just love to watch the world burn (us included), so see how things actually panned out in the video above.
