After being snubbed by Victoria’s Secret casting director Sophia Neophitou, who described her as “too obvious”, with “too-blonde hair” and having “that kind of face that anyone with enough money can go out and buy”, Kate Upton has been hired by Victoria’s Secret, appearing in the brand’s latest catalogue.

With a huge internet and social media presence (having several million hits on her YouTube videos), and having appeared on the latest cover of American Vogue, it appears that Victoria’s Secret is capitalising on her popularity and signing her to the brand once again. Will she appear in the brand’s annual mega fashion show for 2013? That remains to be seen.
