Looking back at old holiday photos stirs up the kind of nostalgia that makes you smile at the past and also yearn for the next adventure, often at the same time. One of our contributors, Sydney photographer Rowland Martinez, rediscovered some pretty serene images, captured during his trip to the US a couple of years ago, and has share them with us for this week’s Postcards.

“Ishimaru was the name of the cabin I stayed at in Lake Tahoe, a very calming and scenic experience – these images were captured while travelling from Arizona, up towards San Francisco, then Nevada and down to Yosemite (2014).”

It couldn’t be further removed from the concrete jungle we’re all probably navigating right now but its appeal is unavoidable. Check out the full set above.
