There are few fans more actively loyal than those of Nintendo’s epic game series Legend of Zelda and when you inject the melancholy of a Studio Ghibli film, there’s really nothing else to do but call in sick and swim in your own emotions. One particularly ardent fan, Matt Vince, put his personal interests and artistic talent to work with a conceptual trailer that mashes up the two entertainment giants. The result is an expectedly cinematic, slow-moving animated epic that we’re still mad isn’t already a real thing. If the hype around this fan-made concept alone is anything to go by, we hope the powers that be at Ghibli and Nintendo get it together real soon, because it would surely be a box office hit.
