As a part of our series of interviews to celebrate the launch of State of Mind we shot a quick couple of questions at Zoo York amateur Anthony Shelter to get his insight on filming one of the most hyped skateboarding films in recent memory.
What was the experience like in filming for the 'State of Mind' video?

It was good, just skating a whole bunch and just trying to push ourselves further to make a awesome video.

There was a lot of traveling had during the filming - what was your favorite trip?

The UK tour, there was so many awesome spots.

What are some of your favorite spots?  Old or newly discovered...

New York, Boston, Providence.

How did you approach your part when filming?  Anything you were trying to focus on in particular?

Just trying to make it well rounded, I try to skate all types of spots and do what I can do.

Describe what filming in NYC in the bitter winter is like...

Harsh man, your board gets ruined in one day, the ground is unforgiving, and your whole body hurts worse when you slam, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Who in the crew usually pushes you to skate harder?

Westgate, Zered, Suski cuz they all shred it makes you feel like you really got to step up ur skate game.

What is your "State of Mind" when you roll into NYC?

OVERWHELMED,  by all the people the buildings and just the culture, its awesome.

Anthony also rides for FDK Bearings and Solstice Skateshop. Keep your eye out for big things from Anthony in the future.
