Posted on 2012-02-03 14:46 | Posted by Alex Weiland

One of the best independent magazines out (in my opinion) NYC/Vancouver based mag SNEEZE has dropped its latest issue titled ‘The Trouble Clef’ issue. Again utilizing the photography of Kenneth Cappello for the issue’s cover shoot with Iggy Pop, the issue also features ASAP Rocky, Ouattara Watts, Hikaru Iwanaga, Survivor, Lem Villemin, Peter Sutherland’s More Autografs, Heidy De La Rosa of IMG and more. You can purchase the titled from their site. Well worth the shipping price. See more spreads in the gallery.

Product | Ryan Travis Christian for African Apparel Tee

Posted on 2012-02-03 14:45 | Posted by Alex Weiland

African Apparel have enlisted the skills of Chicago artist Ryan Travis Christian for their latest tee. RTC is known for his monochromatic psychedelic works created with graphite-on-paper. Constructed using abstract elements (pattern, and organic smoke/vapor like formation), comic utilities (like sub panels and motion lines), vintage cartoon iconography, and pop cultural references, he pairs his artistic practice with curatorial projects.

Faile Temple | Gestalten

Faile Temple | Gestalten

One of the most ambitious art projects to come out of 2010 was Faile Temple by art duo FAILE. Created for Portugal Arte 10 festival FAILE took their own rich visual language and infused it with the architecture and mythology of a Baroque chapel… in ruins. Needless to say the final results provided the perfect merging of FAILE’s own special breed of layered imagery and 16th century architecture, providing a new canvas for FAILE’s continual themes of consumerism, globalization, and the tension between classical art and the profane.

With the release of Faile Temple by Gestalten (who released FAILE’s first sellout book in 2010) this project is now given new life with extensive documentation of the installations development, the inspiration behind the work and of course documentation of the final work.

Expect Faile Temple to hit your favourite Australian bookstore this March.
