Akomplice have released a special edition set of t-shirts and posters in relation to the current US election that is days away from being put to vote. The series consists of a t-shirt and poster featuring everyone’s favourite over-sized feathered friend, Big Bird. The design depicts the cartoon character donning a pair of boxing gloves standing triumphantly over presidential candidate Mitt Romney, who’s looking like he’s seen better days.

This design is in response to Romney’s recent claim that if elected he would cut funding to PBS, which happens to be the home of Big Bird and the rest of the Sesame Street gang. Both the t-shirt and poster also feature a written statement outlining the cause that’s being fought for, stating that “we are the Big Birds of the world. We’ll fight to keep the money on the streets.”

The Big Bird shirt is available in 3 colours, and is an extremely rare piece with only 60 produced. 35 copies of the screen printed 24” x 18” poster are also available.
