Lizzie’s Diamond Jubilee is a pretty big deal, apparently. It’s only the second time in the UK’s history that any monarch has reached that mark, which I contribute to the falling trend of beheadings, poisonings and hangings of royals that was pretty popular during it’s darker years.

Bentley has stepped up to commemorate this occasion by getting in-house coachbuilder Mulliner (who also built the Bentley The Queen currently cruises in) to bless 60 of Bentley’s top-of-the-line Mulsannes with special touches and modifications including gold embroidery in the interior, fold-down tables and leather cushions, everything you’ll find in a classic royal carriage.

An interesting fact I learnt today is that China is now Bentley’s largest market, so the Bentley was actually unveiled earlier in Beijing rather than at Buckingham Palace, much to the distain of many snooty Poms by the names of Chadwick, Chauncey or Jennings.
