If you’re going to eat at a branded theme restaurant, it may as well be one designed and fitted out by a legendary international luxury fashion label. With this in mind probably, Gucci have opened their first full-service restaurant in Shanghai. Joining a string of Gucci cafes in Tokyo, Florence and Milan, 1921 Gucci, named after the year the fashion house was founded, has opened its doors after two years in the making. The restaurant is decked out in Gucci everything, from the decor, to the cutlery, to the menu which includes an $80 mango cheesecake.

Located on the fourth floor of the IAPM luxury shopping mall, 1921 Gucci is only accessible via elevator from the complex’s Gucci store. Something tells me we aren’t at Smorgies anymore.
