Five drunken teenagers in Bordeaux decided to break into a circus last Thursday morning to feed the animals. After coming out of a nightclub next door to the circus, the lads were feeding the camels when they discovered Serge, the ‘friendliest’ and ‘proudest’ llama they had ever met. Deciding that he was just like a soft well-behaved dog, they took him for a little tour of the Gironde area, tweeting their exploits along the way. Eventually they all tired, and helped Serge onto a tram, figuring that they could sit the last leg of the journey.

Sadly, the tram driver would have none of it. According to sources:

“He moved along the tram and we couldn’t hold onto him,” said Mathieu, one of the teens. “The inspector made him get off and tied him to a lamppost.”

When the police were called in, they saw the humour of the situation, and, realising that the teens meant no harm, let them off with a warning.

Since the little publicity stunt, the lads have generated over 800 thousand likes on their Facebook page, a number of television interviews, and best of all, another couple of meetings with their friend Serge.
