So this year sees the Big Day Out turning 22, which Taylor Swift assures us is a good year. The festival is in the midst of bringing a heady mix of high-power stadium acts (Snoop Dogg, Arcade Fire, Major Lazer, Pearl Jam) and newer acquaintances (Flume, RÜFÜS, The Naked and Famous) to Australia and New Zealand once again. Next year the much-loved event moves onto proving year 2000 headliners Blink-182 wrong: “Nobody likes you when you’re 23”? We’ll see about that.
