The team over at Rock Paper Robot sure knows how to make statement furniture. One of their latest creations, The Float Table, kind of looks like a giant wooden Rubix cube and, therefore, pretty stable until you apply pressure to any of the cubes and you realise it actually works more like a dashboard bobble-head. The cubes are held together with a series of magnets and steel cables, which gives it its upright form and flexibility.

I’m all for innovative design, and having something that nobody else does, but I’m also quite aware of my drink-spilling record and I don’t think this table would help to improve that. Though if you’re 100 per cent more refined than I am, head over to Rock Paper Robot for more info.
