Anyone who grew up in the ’90s will have fond memories of the fashion of the day—bright colours, oversized everything, prints for days—and for many of us, US sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air was the epitome of this style. It’s hard to believe that the show that catapulted Will Smith’s Hollywood career is now 25 years old but there’s no doubt that the series resounded with millions, with its gags, dance-moves and fashion choices being emulated to this day. A fan of Cross Colours, Jordans, and other now iconic fashion staples, Will’s larger-than-life character had a wardrobe that many of us envied and probably still would cop; the resurgence of many ’90s trends is testament to this. And so, as a quarter of a century passes since Fresh Prince burst onto the scene, we look back at some of the freshest (and funniest) fits from the show.
