Geckos Adventure is a #basedtravel Melbourne based company who run small grouped tours around the world that could cure even the biggest xenophobes. Their love of odd foods has lead them to shack up with Melbourne’s Doughboys Doughnuts to bring the world’s foreign flavours to home in the form of the most perfect of foods – the doughnut.

To do this, they’re throwing a competition to create most unique destination-based doughnut flavour. The person who comes us with the best combination will be flown to Melbourne for a night to see their creation brought to life by Doughboys, as well as scoring the Geckos adventure of their choice.

Of course, I’m thinking there will be weak flavour suggestions like Australian shrimp or American cheeseburger but my personal suggestions would be to go big and eat the animal representative of the country. I’m talking American Bald-Eagle filled doughnut garnished with chick-down icing or Russian Siberian Cat-centred doughnuts. Maybe even New Zealand Kiwi flavour or an Australian Tasmanian Tiger doughnut because I know those things still exist.
