When you think of hitmen, you normally think of a cool, calm, collected professional like Léon, whose demise generally follows an epiphany and selfless act in order to pay penance for all the people he has ruthlessly and expertly snuffed over the years. Alas, real life isn’t quite like the movies, otherwise I would be ridin’ shotgun in Zeke’s car in The Faculty.

The Center for Applied Criminology at Birmingham City University in the UK have researched and put together what they are calling a “typology” of British hitmen via analysing articles, records, and snitches, and have found that there are four distinct types of hitmen in the UK – the Novice, the Journeyman, the Dilettante and the Master.

Average price your life is worth? £15,180, or just under 30k AUD.
