Sydney boutique +ESTATEofMIND might be a real life destination, but consider it a gateway to the inner thought processes of the worldwide web. +ESTATEofMIND flirts with the IRL and URL, boasting a basement store off Sydney’s Oxford Street and a freshly reworked e-store that shares the same caricature aesthetic. Stocking brands that are desired online but barely attainable on Australian shores, +ESTATEofMIND has created a homebase for brands such as W.I.A Collections, KTZ, Proud Race, Human Potential, OS Accessories, Daniel Palillo and more. I’ll call it and say +ESTATEofMIND is pretty much the Glint Shop (Barcelona) of Australia.

Keeping ahead of new trends and always on the lookout for emerging brands, is owner/buyer/lady boss Sylvie Cornu, whose “phuck a basic bitch” persona carries through in her buying selections. Pan to her store assistant and styling genius Kurt, and then to her cute as fuck pet chihuahua, Taco Belle. Now tell me, who needs a white picket fence when you can have an +ESTATEofMIND?

Sylvie Cornu schooled us on how it’s done below:

<+ESTATEofMIND> Fuck knows… Probs around the time Bill Gates was inventin’ Microsoft.

<ACCLAIMmagazine> Be honest, what was your first Internet handle?

<+ESTATEofMIND> RedTube.

<+ESTATEofMIND> Chrome, all Chrome errethang.

<ACCLAIMmagazine> How many hours a day do you spend online?

<+ESTATEofMIND>  All day, erreday.

<ACCLAIMmagazine> Favourite social media network and why?

<+ESTATEofMIND> Instagram, cause I can be as awesome and (seemingly) unprofessional as I wanna be and no one gives a damn.

<+ESTATEofMIND> All about dem hashtags #eomrapedungeon #estateofmind #farshun.

<ACCLAIMmagazine> What do you think a selfie says about a person?

<+ESTATEofMIND> That they are pretty self indulgent and like to show off, and that’s OK with us.

<ACCLAIMmagazine> Who is your biggest online influencer?

<+ESTATEofMIND> I’ve got a fuck load of spirit animals online but if I told you, I’d have to kill you.

<ACCLAIMmagazine> What was the last thing you looked up on Wikipedia?

<ACCLAIMmagazine> Where is your favourite place to shop online?

<+ESTATEofMIND> I hate online shopping, except for estateofmind.com.au… DUH.

<+ESTATEofMIND> I’m pretty much as inappropriate and full on IRL as I am online.

<ACCLAIMmagazine> How has the Internet helped to develop your creative endeavors?

<+ESTATEofMIND> Running my own boutique doesn’t put me in a position to travel all over to do my buying, so the internet is like a virtual travel machine. It means I can explore the world and its different fashion cultures without leaving the store or my bed.

<ACCLAIMmagazine> How do you keep up with the constant evolution of online tastes and trends?

<+ESTATEofMIND> I am always trying to be one step ahead. We’re constantly on the prowl for the newest shit, so by the time things get popular – we’re over it.

<ACCLAIMmagazine> Best GIF going around ATM?

<+ESTATEofMIND> The ones on our newly tummy tucked website. They’re effin’ bawse.

<ACCLAIMmagazine> Can you show us a meme that best represents you?

<+ESTATEofMIND> This:

SWAG

<ACCLAIMmagazine> Final words to the haters?

<+ESTATEofMIND> FUCK YOU, COME AGAIN.
