Overnight, Jay Z made a 12-year-old boy’s dreams come true. Ugh, get ready to pull a shit-eating, feel good grin. (Me, bitter? Nah, never.)

The viral pre-teen, whose name is Justin, was holding a sign saying “Can I rap for you?”, which Jay Z spotted out in the crowd and responded by telling his miniature fan to “Step up on the big stage, ‘lil man.” Next thing ‘lil J knew, he’s standing next to his idol spitting a (legitimately impressive) rendition of Hov’s Clique verse a cappella in front of thousands of people. Like a true father-figure, Mr. Carter makes him skip through some of the naughty bits – “Not the drug dealing part, go back to the numbers,” – before wrapping the little tacker in a big hug when he finishes. Oh, and Jay also invites him backstage.

Watch the video above and try not to crack a smile, you heartless bastards.

In other news, happy birthday to Blue Ivy who turns two today and has already accomplished more than most of us ever will.
