Hot 97 mainstay Peter Rosenberg apparently got G-Checked by Hov after his episode of The Realness where he queried whether Jay was jocking Kanye by featuring on a Daft Punk song.

According to Rosenberg Jay Z called him and said “Yo you’re always going on the radio talking your ish. Can I talk my ish?” and went on to question the radio host’s statements about him and “explain in very clear detail why those words should never come out of [his] mouth,” to which Peter couldn’t argue.

So would Jay really ring Rosenberg to give him a piece of his mind? Maybe, maybe. But, more to the point, would Rosenberg make this shit up? Unlikely. Rosenberg is one of the most ardent heads in hip-hop media and his work has a large enough following that he couldn’t go running his mouth on Hov without getting into hot water, so I’m not calling bull. But I would be calling that number back.
